Several nights ago, he had that encounter in the woods and really it wasn't a good thing. Peter couldn't help but be concerned. Sure he was fine with the supernatural and he wanted to help them as well as humans but.....was he gonna be human much longer? The werewolf had bitten him, in the shoulder to be exact so really there was a chance he was infected and slowly being turned. Course he wouldn't know for sure if he was or wasn't until the up coming full moon, which was a good amount of weeks away. He couldn't help but worry though.
Arriving into the kitchen, he started to make something to eat. It was really just another sandwich but that wouldn't kill him. Unlike what it almost did to Guil, almost killed him since peanut butter likes to stick to the roof of one's mouth; especially dogs. Oh great! Now he'd choke on a sandwich as well!! Setting everything down, he put his hands against the sides of his head and put his elbows on the counter.
Overreacting....overreacting..... Peter thought in his head as he stood there. Calm down.....just...just calm down. Everything's gonna be fine, you'll be okay. You just gotta make sure everyone thinks that nothing is wrong or up.
Letting a sigh go, he stood up straight an put his right hand on his left shoulder. Where the bite mark was, bandaged and tended to. Course he had gone to the hospital to have the wound tended to, instead of going to the labs and allowing for no one to know what caused it. Though he had to make up a lie to the hospital staff as to how he got the wound. But it worked at least. Though the blasted wound was hurting as well as itching, stupid thing.

It was close to lunch time by the time Dodger rushed out towards the kitchens, her hands filled to the prime with a bunch of case files. God she was late, so damn late. Well...late in her mind anyway. The rest of the crew weren't going to show up at their usual hang out spot for hours. That should give her enough time to do what she needed to do, but the young lady didn't think so. She had planned all this out much more differently in her head. She had planned to come in early like she normally did, do some training, go hunt down some mission files, then go over them before the group arrived to take whatever assignments she had found. Sadly she screwed up. She had stayed up a little later than she intended to last night and must have forgotten to setup her damn alarm clock for the next morning. Thanks to having no alarm clock to wake her up on time she had overslept and lost a chunk of her training time. When she noticed the time she had panicked and rushed over to headquarters. Her training would have to cancelled today but she could at least make up for it by getting the missions. Today was her day to get the missions for the group, and it would be her first time doing so too. It wouldn't be too hard to grab some stuff quickly and head over to the meeting spot to run through them all right?
Wrong. Oh how wrong she was. Trying to get her hands on missions was a lot harder than Dodger had anticipated. The damn place was full of agents trying to grab the best missions that it was hard not to get caught up in the massive squabble over who could get what. It didn't help that the missions were really not well organized as she thought they would be. It had been a slow and agonizing process to get what she did at all, and she had no clue if what she got was any good at all. Dodger sighed as she walked down the hallway towards the kitchen area. Well, at least she got what she had came for and then some. No one could say that she didn't get enough missions. If anything she went a little overboard with the grabbing. There was more than enough files stuffed under her arm pits for each agent in her group to pick four each. At least no one could say she didn't do a good job there even if she didn't filter through them all first. Not like she wasn't going to spend the rest of her time doing that anyway just so no one could complain that she was being sloppy, but hey at least she did something.
With a little bit of effort Dodger gently kicked the door open and stepped into the kitchens. To her surprise the place was pretty much empty. Save for one lone dude busying himself with sandwich making in the corner there was no one here. That was cool she guessed, the less people around meant fewer distractions while she worked. Giving the one dude in the room a friendly smile Dodger headed to the nearest table, plopped everything she was carrying on the table and sat down. “Holy crap, I might have gotten overboard.” she muttered to herself as she eyed the massive pile of files sitting on her table. Did she really have to go through all of this by herself? Man this was going to suck. Or did she have to do it alone? An awesome idea came to mind just then. There was a way that she could lessen the work load for herself without slacking off, and at the same time get some training done. It was about time that she tested the limits of what she could do with her powers anyway. The woman rummaged through her art supply bag she carried around with her and pulled out a single sheet of paper and pencil and got to drawing. In a few short minutes two cats stepped off out of the paper to sit on the table, one black and one white. The woman smiled at her work, rather pleased with how they turned out.
Lately Dodger had been trying to draw out certain characters she could use on missions, borrowing people or things in her life. These two were one of her favourites, they were pretty simple, just miniature versions of her cats back home but they were pretty good, they even seemed to have personalities of their own. “Okay mini Watson, mini Sherlock can you help me go through some files?” she asked the two creations. Mini Watson, the white kitten mewed happily and started pulling out one file right away. Mini Sherlock however didn't look the least bit enthusiastic about it at all. “Aw come on Sherlock, its just for a little bit. I want to see what kind of info you two can rely to me...please?” With a small hiss mini Sherlock reluctantly grabbed a file and started to look through it. “Thank you~” Dodger smiled at the cat. Thanks to this she would be able to get some training done while getting some work done at the same time. Man today was going to be a good productive day.

The sound of the door opening came to a surprise to him, and it almost made him jump. He turned his emerald gaze to the fellow agent who had just entered. Seeing her large stack, his eyes went wide. Holy death! What was she doing with all those papers and files? Well wait...it was probably she wanting to get a mission. It was always hard to get them, considering all of the other agents and such here.
"Hi." Peter greeted.
Though he was soon taken by surprise and curiosity. As the agent got done with her drawings that was what caused the surprise. The drawings....they....they came to life? Peter couldn't help but stand there, staring at the two cats that started to help her out.
"H....How did you....." Peter stuttered.

Say what you want but Dodger thought her powers were by far the greatest she ever heard of. How many artist could say that they could literally make their art come to life? Not many that was for sure. There wasn't a whole lot that she could do with them yet but she had read plenty about what she could do. The runes aspect seemed pretty interesting, with runes Dodger could learn really complex magic that she could put to good use for just about any situation. Making magic barriers to conceal, protect, or trap people in was pretty sick, and they could even be used offensively too. Sadly she was not anywhere close to doing something like that. According to the experts it took years of training for any caligraphia to get to that advance a level in their magical arts. She would be lucky to reach anywhere near that by the times he hit fifty. To make matters worse there was no other caligraphias that worked in the PIDA that should could at least study under.
That really sucked balls. When she had joined the agency she had done so in the hopes that she could learn how to use her powers effectively. It was one thing to learn not to drain her energy to the point of nearly killing herself, but another to learn the complicated magic that came with it. She wasn't the only one with this problem. Her friends had joined for pretty much the same thing. Jesse and TB came here with high hopes for their gifts, Jesse had been so psyched after he discovered he was a mimic. TB...well TB was a lot less happy about the power of his voice coming from singing. They wanted to at least learn how to control it. But in the end they didn't get much help. Like her Jesse learned that there wasn't any other mimics at the agency, and the only things he learned about them were through books or some of the experts that took the time to study him a little bit. For TB the only other person that shared his powers had been Cry, who like him only discovered his powers later in life and joined the PIDA for the same reasons. It was annoying, but the sad truth they had learned was the PIDA wasn't going to help them.
So some of them took matters into their own hands. Well, Dodger at least did. She was probably only one of the few in the group that could properly train her powers. Dodger came into headquarters every morning to train her powers, doing all sorts of drawings, big projects, small projects, or a bunch of creations all at once to slowly adjust her endurance and test her limits. All that work was slowly paying off. Now she was able to gauge how much energy she spent when she was using her powers, and even increased her capacity to do so. It didn't sound like much on the surface, but that was far more than she was capable of doing when she had first gotten here. That was an achievement in her book. Now was time for a new form of training, using certain creations. Most of her training made her draw whatever came to fancy, but not particular works. That was where mini Sherlock and mini Watson came in. Dodger wanted to have certain drawings that she could call allies that she could easily create when on missions.
So far that training was turning out pretty well. Drawing them out was simple enough, but the most interesting bit was the creations themselves. Mini Sherlock and mini Watson had very distinct personalities that weren't just more clear than the creations before them, but they didn't change, and even developed over time. They were more than just mere drawings, it was almost like they were real. It had been an outcome she hadn't expected, and was rather pleased with. There was obviously something more to them than met the eye, and she wanted to find out. What better time than to study them now? This plan of hers was great, she could get some work done while she trained and studied her creations at the same time. Right now she wanted to see how well they could do at giving her information. Info gathering was pretty important in an agents work, and with her powers she could easily create spies to help do some of her dirty work. They needed to at least learn how to process information and give it back to her. There was also a possibility that the link between her and them was strong enough that she could gain whatever info they got on their own in her mind. If that was the case it would pretty sweet. It was easy enough to do while reading case files so she decided to shove her testing into that.
Dodger had been so wrapped up in her little plans that she had nearly forgotten where she was, and about the little guest she had nearby that she was caught off guard by his surprise. Oh yeah, right...she wasn't in the training sector. Well, she just kind of freaked someone out. Cool. “Oh, don't mine me. I'm just here...you know...doing stuff.” she laughed at the man's reaction. Or at least what she was sure was a young man and not some kid. The sandwich guy was on the short side, and had a bit of a baby face but at a glance she could tell it wasn't because he was young. He probably had the same problem she did, he was cursed with being short. Dodger smiled at the poor dude, at least he didn't scream or run away so that was good. “Let me introduce you to my little friends. This is mini Watson.”
The tiny white cat looked up from the papers she was reading to the young man, bounding over to him to rub up against his legs while mewing. “And this is mini Sherlock.” the larger black cat wasn't nearly as excited to see a new face as his smaller companion. The cat only spared the new guy a few seconds glance then turned his attention back to the papers in front of him. Dodger just shook her head, mini Sherlock was just like any other old grumpy cat he just wasn't as social as Watson was, but she loved him anyway. “They are my drawings. As for how I make them come to life like this. Well, I'm what you call a caligraphia. I have the power to make stuff I draw out come to life like that. Pretty neat huh?”

Peter wasn't exactly freaked out, he was amazed and in awe. As the white cat came to him and rubbed against his leg, Peter bent down and held his left hand out to the cat. As the fellow agent started to talk, he looked back to her. As she introduced the cats, Peter glanced toward the one she called Mini-Sherlock. The cat didn't seem to like him all that much as it paid him no mind. That was fine.
"Yeah. That's a amazing power." Peter replied with a kind smile on his face as he looked back at Dodger. "I take it he doesn't like me though?"
A light laugh left him as a kind smile stayed on his face to show that he wasn't at all hurt by it, it was really fine with him. Not everyone would like others. Even if they were drawings.
"I'm Peter Cornwall, and you are?" Peter asked.

Dodger had to admit, she kinda dropped the ball here. The woman had been so focused on trying to do two things at once that she hadn't really thought about the other guy in the room with her. It was all fine and dandy to pull this caligraphia training stuff in the training room by herself, but it was another thing to be doing it out in the open around someone that didn't know her well. What would she have done if the guy freaked out on her? She hadn't thought about it till the dude reacted. Luckily for her he didn't seem scared by anything, more surprised but excited to see her work. Oh right, what was she thinking? It was kind of hard to freak out a fellow PIDA agent with a little magic trick. This guy probably worked here longer than she did and saw all sorts of awesomely weird shit in his time here, hell he probably wasn't normal himself. Dodger couldn't tell what the guy could be, he looked like an ordinary guy to her. Then again Dodger looked like any other woman in the world and she was far from normal.
Seeing the guy greet her little helpers made the woman smile. Mini Watson was more than happy to run up to the man to greet him, rubbing up against his leg and purring as he pet her. Mini Sherlock however didn't seem to interested. The male cat barely spared the dude a quick glance then spent the rest of the time ignoring him. His reaction didn't go unnoticed by the guy she introduced him to. The young man asked her if Mini Sherlock didn't like him. Dodger had to laugh at that. “Nah man it's cool. Mini Sherlock is just a big old grumpy cat, he's like that with everyone, aren't ya buddy?” Dodger reached out to pet the black cat earning a little glare from the little guy, but as angry as he looked with her treating him like this a slight purr rose out of him, betraying the fact that he liked her touching him. “See? He acts tougher than he is. If he hated you, you would know it. Trust me.”
After Dodger introduced her two helpers the man decided to introduce himself. So his name was Peter huh? It was a simple and common name, easy enough for her to remember for the future. “It's nice to meet you Peter.” She said, offering out her hand for him to shake. “My name's Dodger.” it only seemed fair for her to give him her name after he gave her his. It was pretty nice meeting someone new for a change. Since Dodger had joined the agency the only people that she interacted with at all was the guys in the gamer group she collaberated with. Most of the men in that group she had at least heard of before, Toby for example was well known on youtube at least that it was hard for her to not know who he was. It wasn't bad really, everyone in the group was pretty cool, and because of the other work that they did on their own time everyone shared common interests. But being with them kind of isolated them from the rest of the agency. TB had admitted that their group seemed to be the clowns of the PIDA, nothing much was expected from them and some of their colleagues thought they were nothing but a big joke. It made it harder for everyone else to make many friends outside of their own circle, but maybe today she would be one of the few to break past that obstacle. “So Peter, are you new here?” she asked curiously.

Peter continued to pet Mini-Watson as he waited for Dodger to answer him, course she soon did and demonstrated that the small black cat wasn't as tough as he seemed. It made sense that the cat would open up slightly to the owner. A smile came to his face as Dodger introduced herself after he did. Sure he would've been fine if she didn't, some people preferred privacy or just wanted to wait a bit longer into a conversation before doing it. It was something that some people did.
"Sort of. I'm still a rookie but I joined several months ago, I haven't been around lately due to a incident on my first day." Peter replied.
The pain in his shoulder came back and he shifted his shoulder to try and get it to go away. However that didn't really work, so he reached with his free had and tried to massage it away. Stupid thing.

It was kind of nice meeting another agent here Dodger found. It wasn't like she hadn't seen other agents besides her circle of friends since she came to the PIDA, but she hadn't had the chance to really talk to someone else in the agency, especially someone that knew what the hell they were doing. It was the strangest thing if she thought about it, here she was in a top secret government agency that specialized in the paranormal. Yet the people that were working here seemed a little lost. The older members of the organization probably knew how things worked better than she did, but ever since she had come here she felt like a chicken with it's head cut off. She was just running around without a clue what it was that she was suppose to be doing, and she wasn't the only one. TB confessed to feeling the same way when he first came here, and still admitted into feeling that way now since he had been promoted into a field that he had no knowledge of. It didn't speak well for an organization such as this to be be giving jobs to people that didn't understand them and give them next to nothing in training to help them do the work. Even Jesse who had been in here longer than either of them told her that he was still trying to learn the ropes.
She had to wonder how it was like for other agents. Dodger introduced herself to Peter and then asked him if he was new here. As it turned out Peter was also pretty new here. “Alright we can be rookie buddies.” she laughed. “I've been working here just as long as you have, don't worry about it.” Peter mentioned something about being away during most of his time here due to some incident. “Oh that sucks. But I guess its not something too uncommon around here.” she said. “Don't worry, one of my friends who works here had an accident on his first mission. Well...I guess you can't call it an accident. The suspect he was chasing after attack him and broke his arm. He had to wear a cast and take time off work for about a month till he was better.” Yeah, it had sucked hearing how Jesse's mission had gone. To make matters worse the PIDA decided that they could rehabilitate the suspect and made the damn demon puppy live in Jesse's place after all that crap.
Though Jesse seemed to be dealing with it well, Dodger couldn't help but worry about her friend. Despite what he said or the agency, the guy they made him roommate with had hurt him in the past, how did they know that nothing bad would happen if they left the two alone together? Dodger shook those thoughts out of her head as she turned back to Peter. “It happens to the best of us I suppose, but hey at least you are alright. With any luck you won't get seriously hurt on any future cases. What happened to you anyway? If you don't mind me asking.”

"It...didn't happen on a mission..." Peter said in a low voice. "Is your friend alright now?"
True, people would get hurt on missions and how that would happen would always make sense. It was just a risk of the job. Worse thing that could happen was...well death. Their job was kind of like the police, except the PIDA dealt with supernatural more than ordinary people. A surprise look came to Peter's face when Dodger asked to know what happened. It wouldn't hurt to tell her no? After all she was a fellow agent and....she'd probably hear about it from someone else. He didn't doubt that other people had heard about it.
"Well....I was in my quarters here and eventually someone knocked on the door and I answered it. It was a man, someone who works here actually and...um...turns out he wanted to eat me." Peter started, a little unsure of how to explain it. "A fight pretty much happened but I got away sort of, I passed out in the hall due to blood loss but I think the guy did as well."
Did he leave out a few details? Yes. But he did get the basic things out. It was probably best not to say Guil's name. After all the guy had changed due to the medication he was on and giving him trouble didn't really feel right. After all, Dodger hadn't mentioned who the suspect was that her friend was chasing. So that was even more reason to not mention Guil's name.

“Don't worry about him my buddy is fine.” Dodger replied. “That incident happened months ago. He recovered after a month and thankfully hasn't been hurt since...At least not yet.” She certainly hoped that Jesse would continue to be alright given his current living arrangements. What had the agency been thinking making Gil live with Jesse after all the crap he did to him? The agency could make up whatever excuses they wanted but what they were doing with that hellhound was stupid and was bound to end badly. Not too long ago Guillotine had been nothing more than a murderous psychopath on the run. He had tried to kill both Jesse and TB and almost got one of them before he was brought down. It was his fault that Jesse had to be taken into the medical wing, yet the PIDA thought it was a great idea to put that dangerous monster in the same house as one of the agents he tried to kill. Jesse had tried to reassure her and TB that he was safe and that Gil changed but Dodger wasn't sure how much she could trust his judgement.
Jesse wasn't stupid, but he was a little too forgiving for his own good sometimes. It wasn't much of a surprise to her when Jesse forgave Gil for that incident. Though both Jesse and TB thought Gil was thick headed and not too bright he was still the same guy that managed to evade capture for so long, and managed to manipulate the people around him. This hellhound was not fooling her. No matter what anyone else said she knew that he was dangerous. Dodger kept her mouth shut on the Gil subject though. Peter had nothing to do with Jesse's situation. Hell the poor dude probably didn't even know who the hell Guillotine was and she hoped he never would. She was curious about how the man got injured though. From what the guy said it wasn't like what happened to her own friend, he had gotten hurt before he even had a chance to go on his first mission. How did that happen? Dodger just had to ask about it. Luckily for her Peter gave her an answer.
Dodger looked shocked when Peter told her what had happened. “Seriously? Some dude just knocked on your door and said he wanted to eat you? And he works here???” No fricken way! That had to be some sort of sick joke. The PIDA was not quite the place that Dodger or any of her friends had thought it was, but even then it wasn't the kind of place that allowed dangerous people to work with them. No wait, what the hell was she thinking? Of course they were! If they were willing to hire Gil then it wouldn't be surprising to hear that they did similar things with other people like him. “I'm glad you are okay now, and I hope that guy got punished for attacking you like that. Do you know who did it or what happened to him?” she asked. She really hoped that the agency didn't just let someone get away with attacking a co-worker. If the agency condoned such a thing she would quit and force everyone that she knew and cared about out with her before something bad happened to them.

"Yeah....well he actually said that after I allowed him in the room cause I thought he was just a fellow agent....passing by. Turns out he's a agent who wanted to eat me." Peter answered nervously as he put a hand to the back of his head.
Oh he knew who it was alright. But why did he feel like it was a bad idea to tell? Peter didn't know much about Guil's past with other agents and yet something was trying to convince him not to say the hound's name. It wouldn't hurt to tell her what happened to Guil afterwards though. True his knowledge of the events after weren't that much knowledge but he knew some things.
"Well he was also in the hospital for a bit since we beat each other up pretty good. The things I do know for sure though was that he was given medication and he's still working here." Peter answered. "He's different with that medication now, he hasn't tried to attack or eat me and he did apologize for trying to eat me so...he can't be completely bad. I believe he said his name but...I can't recall it."

Post by Ballin' Agent Dodger on Aug 3, 2014 13:09:44 GMT -5
Dodger could hardly believe what she was hearing. Dodger was not foolish enough to believe that life as a PIDA was all fun and games. The job that she and her fellow agents did was seriously dangerous work. There was always a risk that they would get hurt or even killed in duty whenever they did any sort of field work. Danger just came with the job, everyone knew that. But she never thought that danger would ever occur so close to base. Really, out of all the places to have someone threaten to eat somebody it had to be inside headquarters? What kind of messed up crap was this? What kind of people did the PIDA hire to work for them anyway? Even Dodger felt a little skeptical of the organization that she worked for. It felt as if the place had no sense of direction or organization at all. Who could blame her for thinking so after what she had seen so far? The agency had hired her and her friends who were for a lack of a better word unstable. Every single one of them had only recently found out about their powers, and a vast majority of their powers were incredibly random or at times unstable. Not only that but the people themselves did not have any experience that qualified them for the job. They had assumed that the agency would help train them for the job. What did the agency do?
Nothing that's what. Once they were in officially everyone single one of them was left to their own devices. There was no real training here unless they took it upon themselves to train. They were given no help, no tips, and no sense of direction. That was the reason that the group had formed in the first place. The PIDA was a lot to deal with by one's self. It helped that the noobs stuck together to help each other. Dodger had been lucky to join when she did, by the time she had heard about the PIDA her friends had already been there and the grouped was formed. They helped her get the basics down, and helped her out when she needed it. Had someone in the organization tried to attack her she could sure as hell count on her friends to help her out. Sadly for other agents like her that wasn't the case. Poor Peter, if only he had some friends here at the time maybe he wouldn't have been attacked. She hoped whoever it was got taken care of. Just who was it that could have done that though? Dodger couldn't help but wonder who it was. The only person she knew that worked here that had a thing for eating people was Guillotine.
She had a sneaking suspicion that it was him who was behind this. Gil was nothing more than a monster when he first came here, while it was Jesse's job to keep him from trying to nom on people he couldn't keep his eye on the hellhound twenty-four seven. Gil wouldn't need too much time alone to cause trouble the way she saw it. Still there was very little to go on here, unless Peter felt like sharing the perpetrator's name or give her a physical description there was no way that she could pin him to the scene of the crime. Besides, if Gil really was responsible she would have heard Jesse bitch about Gil getting into trouble by now. That was so long as Peter had reported the incident. She asked about that and the answer she got was a no. Peter didn't get the other agent in trouble, but he did say something rather interesting about him.
“He's on medication?” She asked. Now she was sure that she knew exactly who Peter was talking about. There was only one agent that Dodger knew that had been forced into taking medication to control his instincts. “I think I know exactly who you are talking about.” the woman said. “I would still be careful around him if I were you. He might have apologized for the whole mess now, and seemed like he changed but that doesn't mean he did. If you and me are talking about the same dude then there is a chance that guy is just pretending to be cool now. Between you and me, he's not working here by choice. He is smart enough to know that if he steps out of line he would be locked up for good. A smart guy would pretend to just play nice till he has a better opportunity to get away with murder. If you aren't careful you will end up on his menu again.”

"I don't think he was when I first meet him, he did say since after that the Highers have been making him take a certain type of medication." Peter answered.
Putting a hand to his left shoulder, Peter leaned against whatever was behind him as he decieded to sit on the floor. Not the best location to sit but it was fine with him. THe shoulder was really the most annoying thing at the moment. Course he couldn't really blame the injury for hurting still. How could he have been so stupid? Why not at least just shot that werewolf in the leg and try to run? THoughts were broken when Dodger claimed to know who it was he was talking about.
"Y....You do?" Peter asked.
Well...so much for not getting Guil hounded on by someone else. Peter really didn't think Dodger would be the type to go and give a stronger supernatural a lecture over it. But...he could always be wrong and that was a fact he knew all too well. Peter knew Guil wasn't here by choice, the hound had told him that when they had bumped into each other and decieded to talk.
